I am tired of the IPOD deal trying to mess with that while cruising , I was thinking about going Satelite .... But was concerned with reception in the Parker Strip . Anyone have issues or advice before I spend the money ???
Thanks

i have had both and now have sirus for the past 2 years and love it. reception is good every where, also i have the boom box so i can take the receiver out of my car and listen when camping or whatever.... they are the same now but, i dont know what that really means.

as of about a month ago they are now the exact same...ralph they just changed all the channels on both so either xm or sirus all channels are now the same...it doesnt matter anymore prices will be the same signal will be the same...well hell it's actually the same anyway...to get to their website it's called sirusxm.com

i have had xm for years! its a great service, unless you go in a tunnel or where you cant get cell reception. then your screwed. :banghead:

I bought the $400 lifetime plan about 6 years ago. Had xm first now sirius. I have a cradle for my 56, boat, titan and boom box....and you dont need a radio to plug it in, just a amp but you can run RF or into your radios aux. One unit does it all.....

ive had sirius since day 1 its awesome

I installed the Sirus today and it worked and sounded great . Of course the 700 dollars I spent on new speakers , and a another amp must help too LOL . Cant wait to try at Parker this weekend

FYI, you can call sirius/xm and ask for the 5/25 deal. 5 months for $25.
save some cash, especially if you only using the sat radio during the summer months at the river.
