I didn't know him, but my heart breaks whenever I hear about a racer passing as a result of an accident doing what they love.

Certainly a tragic loss.  At first I noticed it was in Washington and was said to be a hydro which I thought made sence.  Then I watched the video and noticed it was an SS v-drive with capsule. ( gez I wish reporters would get their facts staight). I hope for all racers they figure out what happened. An SS with a capsule should not cause a fatality. I pray for his family.

Sad deal for sure. We all felt it in the pits. I believe he was a hydro driver also, thats where the confusion comes from. May have been a canopy not a capsule. Not going to say much else until the whole story comes out. The Chaplin was at the drivers meeting the next day and had some words of wisdom for us.
