Title: My new raft
Post by: RedSnapperSlapper on September 13, 2011, 03:12:04 PM
Just picked her up last night 1986 Eliminator 21' cruiser 3 speed V-drive with BBC 454. Bought it from the original owner. Everything is original except for the interior which was done 10 years ago. hour meter says 256 hours.

Nice boat little brother. The colors almost match mine. Hopefully I don't get them mixed up when I go to the river ;-)

Holy cow, is that three boats that I count in the first picture... Are those all yours?

The newest ride is sweet... What a gem. There was this 88 21' Bahner that used to sit at the school by me. One of the cleanest rides I'd seen and everything was original, and only one owner. Thing was sweet, wish I had more money to get to it.

yup checked all the fluids before i bought the boat the old man got it from took really good care of it. Been garage kept its whole life and fluids changed once a year. The oil and tranny fluid look bran new we started it before i picked it up and the thing sounds crisp when you hit the throttle. I always bring extra fluids and tools when i go on the water, but hopefully i sont have any problems.

Plus since you actually boat with people on this site you will have help if anything goes wrong.

Come on down Dan. I might have an open seat. I think my buddy austin might take the Hallett out to test it also.

Haha. You only need to do that once to learn your lesson. As many carbs that I have tuned, as many motors I have worked on, my stupid ass still managed to do that. Lol

Ha, I watch that happen to my uncle while he was working on my old mustang...  And he's been a diesel mechanic for as long as I can remember.

Ha! Been there before but mine involved starting fluid a back fire through the Carb while floating down river away from my trailer. Long story short I gave her 2 squirts, she back fired, I looked back saw a little flame so I blew it out, nope I blew all the starting fluid that pooled in the scoop and boom my whole face on fire. I jumped in the water to put my face out and jumped back into the boat and hit her with the extinguisher. Good bye goat, eyebrows and most of my hair.

well we got her wet yesterday at Elsinore and wow she rides like a Cadillac. I dont think the bilge had a drop of water in it when we put her back on the trailer. Its a lot different then the ole jet. I forgot the GPS so dont know what MPH @ RPM were running but al in all she's a keeper.
