Title: Pine Flat February 2011
Post by: Fuel4YourLuvn on February 28, 2011, 10:28:54 PM
Theres going to be alot of water this year.   Lake is way up. Unfortunately it won't stay like this for long.  Not a bad day for the middle of February though.  Lookin foward to alot of houseboat/jetboat weekends at the lake.

Also, for those of you Clovis/Fresno guys, we are holding our 7th Annual Crab Feed Dinner Sat March 19.  This is to support the Clovis East Timberwolve Football Program.  Crab, Tri Tip, Chicken, Silent and Live Auctions, and Dancing.  I am the chair, and can set you up.  Thanks  F4YL

The water is still pretty cold, however we have skiied without wetsuits as early as late March.  Funny thing about Mid February is half my family was snow skiing at China Peak, and we were actually relaxing in bathing suits with a mid lake picnic.  Lakeridge Marina has been totally upgraded, and you can find good partys on most any summer weekend.  The lake when full is 1,000,000 acre feet ( Currently 70%) and you can cruise all the way to the head of the Kings River.  There are not to may beach type spots, but there are plenty of coves to hang out in all the way to the river.  Pine Flat is a hidden gem.  Run by the Army Corp of Eng.  Sherriff is around but as long as you're cool we have never (21yrs) had an issue.   Cya @ the Lake F4YL 8)
