So I am new to jet boats and I am trying to better understand my boat. Can anyone explain the path of water in my cooling system? Bbc with glenwood logs and nicson snails.

Usually, from the jet to a tee, to the logs, out of the logs to the front of the engine (water pump plates) and out the t-stat housing on the manifold to the snails, and out the exhaust

Ok my motor never heats up. Barley even registers on the temp gauge. Every time I go out I close the gate valve a little more. My piping is correct up to going back to the snails. The snails are just plugged. Should I keep closing down the gate till I hit 140-160 or just leave it alone... If it ain't broke don't fix it.

If you were plugged you would over heat.

Open the gate and run cold. Mess up with the gate and the damage will be heat related. Hot pockets are possible when closing down the gate.

Ran this weekend with the gate all the way open and it even warmed up a bit. Thanks for all the info. The snails are not plugged just didn't see they had 2 bungs and the fittings made it look like the lines were coming from the logs.
