Title: an wrench and what else? fuel plumbing.
Post by: Duke on August 31, 2011, 07:39:23 PM
im planning on running stainless steel braided fuel lines

the fuel pump im planning on using has 3/8 npt inlet and outlet.

im also going to add a 3 way valve that has 3/8 npt inlets and outlet.
and a -6an inlet to 3/8 male outlet for the inline fuel filter that i plan on attaching straight to the fuel pump.

from what i can tell my fuel/water separator is also 3/8's npt.

and from what i'v looked at online 3/8 is equivalent to -6 an hoses.

i have a grinder and a compressor for cutting and shooting air to clean up any debris left after the cut.

so im planning on ordering -6 an hoses and a wrench to put all the pieces together. but what other size wrench do i need to tighten my fittings?

i have a set of standard size and metric size wrench's so i was wondering if i could just use something i already have. any thoughts. and thanks

planning on using summitracing an fittings just cuz its in my budget.

what other tools might i need? if i order the -6 an wrench with my fittings.

I just use a crescent wrench with electrical tape over the jaws

Crescent wrenches will work fine for assembly,, just have to use care.  The actual AN fitting wrenches do not work for assembly

3/8" (-6 AN) will work fine for your engine.

Don't know who Pat's source is,, but Sweet Performance in Anaheim has some good pricing on the fittings and line you will need.
