Title: Bbc 871 blower questions

Found a decent price 871 blower on Offer up was told they haven?t made parts for them in 15 years but they can still be rebuilt or converted to newer components. Is this true has anyone done it already ?

I believe what you are looking at there is not an 8-71 but a B&M 420 mega blower. There are all kinds of parts for an 8-71. But for the B&M 420 rebuild kits (seals) are available from places like the Blower Shop. Internal hard parts might be a lot harder to come by.
My advice would be call the Blower Shop and ask before you buy.

Also I believe that those run a serpentine belt and pulleys that might be an issue finding. Somebody might offer a belt and pulley conversion to run 8mm or 1/2 pitch setup (more conventional and way easier to find)
