big block ford out of a old lincoln, i was told it was a 460 not a 429, has been sitting for a couple of years in a garage, long block, block # C9VE-B, head's # C8VE-E , $400, may trade for some big block chevy parts let me know what you have. call Jason (619) 654-4027

Any idea what year lincoln? I lost the website with casting number explanations. Im actually looking for a 460 for my 61 lincoln that will bolt up to my tranny. Old junker had a 430, try finding parts for that damn thing that dont cost an arm and a leg!!

You should buy his motor and I have a fresh built C-6 with the right bell housing for it for $500. ( by fresh I mean never installed after being rebuilt 1 month ago!)

The engine is from a late 1968 or early 1969 model Lincoln Continental. It very likely had (still has?) the factory gear-driven power steering unit that mounts directly onto the crankshaft snout between the harmonic balancer and the timing cover, and which Lincoln restoration guys find quite valuable. A C9VE block, C8VE (same as D0VE) heads, and the 460 2Y crankshaft....for $400, somebody should JUMP on this engine.

The C6 would indeed be a nice addition for an early Lincoln. Also, to be clear, the 430 & 460 MEL's transmission bolt pattern is already on the rear of the 429/460 blocks along with the C6 pattern (the 429/460 blocks have both tranmission patterns on the rear) and so it ought to bolt up to the MEL trans.

the power steering pump was in a box that had all the external parts with it, i think it found it's way to the trash :banghead:. also i might be interested in selling just the heads. let me know........

still available. i have it torn down, it is std bore, crank is std/std but needs to be turned, someone has got to need a good core to build............
