The owner somehow cracked the ear on this Eaton set up for his Mustang. He was going to JB weld it and I told him to put down the JB weld and bring me the blower.
 We also mocked up the non Ford gasket he was waiting for ever for. Guess what, NOT an exact fitting gasket by all means. So after he left I decided to at least get the bolt boss cut off. Put it up on the mill found a 3/4" deep cutter and cut the pocket where I am going to weld a piece of 6061 round stock I will machine to size. I made it so the boss will stick out just as the other ones do. Once I bevel and prep the area it will be time to weld. Stay tuned.

Turned some 6061 3/4" round stock, cleaned and beveled the area and gave it a go. Needed some heat to get a puddle but it all worked out. I will be using the intake to locate the new hole and not the gasket. Almost done. Waiting for the customer to bring the intake over and my $$.

As stated before I could not trust the gasket for the dimensions of the hole. So customer brought over the lower intake and I was able to measure the bolt spacing. I wish I had the lower intake before I milled the bolt boss off cause I was short (I told him I wanted everything but he forgot the intake when he first dropped it off), in which it would have placed the hole too close to the edge. Fire up the TIG machine again and build up material with filler rod. Mill, grind and smooth it back, then locate and drill the hole. All done. Paid and gone.
