Title: How do I remove paint from gel
Post by: N2GLOCK on October 25, 2010, 03:13:22 PM
Sometime back in the seventies my boat had some pin striping work done on it and also the license # was painted on the hull. All this stuff looks old and I'd like to remove it w/o damaging the gel. Any ideas?

I use spray on oven cleaner let it sit for about 10 minutes then wipe off, repeat if necessary. Don't let it get on your metal trim or on any metal (trailer, metal trim) if it yellows the white gelcoat use CLR to wipe back to white.
