It's paper work says its a 1970. Is it worth the time to and sweat to restore I would be doing all the work my self and I know it would not be worth much when done. Then again if I put all that work in some thing it's going to go to my son and he can have a hot rod for his kids when he grows up

Anything can be done.  Mine looked like that when I bought it.  How much money you willing to drop on a build?  Some people just want to buy and go and some like the fun of a project.  Good luck on the build if you go that way.

Yeah my dad sound like he wanted to help he's a old school fiberglass guy he help Dan woods in his garage in the sixties when Dan built the milk truck and they have been friends for a long time Dan built the ice truck and made molds for his own t buckets he was a smart guy and so is my dad so if he's going to help I might jump in it and get the 8 year old boy off the Xbox and get him sanding like I did my whole life.

As someone that built a tahiti from a bare hull, its up to you and what your expectations are.  if you want to blow doors off and make WOT passes at the river, then no.  if you want to putt around mid 50-60mph with a decent big block then sure.  You need to check the stringers and floor.  Most likely they're going to need to be replaced and while its not rocket science its no easy task and is a lot of manual labor grinding/sanding/etc.  Also I noticed in my tahiti that the deck was built without any support and that it was extremely flimsy.  To the point that the previous owner had actually cracked it near the dash.  After adding a bulkhead under the deck it was MUCH stiffer and honestly was a completely different boat.  It rode better and when hitting some chop the whole thing didnt shake.

It has a long support down the center and one on each side of that under the deck I'm going to hose it out and see if it will be yard art or a rusto it was caped and some one loved it at one time
