I got a friend that has a 2003 Glastron. With a I/O. Current gas a Volvo penta sx-m1 and it's junk. He is asking me if he can use a Volvo penta sxm to swap it out. He found the sxm somewhere online to buy but not sure if he can just swap it out. Thanks

As long as the gear ratios are the same, they will interchange. You have to use the same ratio. It is based on hp.
