Title: Hydraulic Place Diverter Issues
Post by: bluthndr on June 14, 2022, 09:18:02 AM
Is there a trick to getting it bled?  Worked fine when I replumbed it, then sprung a leak and drained itself in the driveway testing.  Got it working again after fighting the "down" function a while.  Got it fixed/bled.  Worked fine for a day.  Now no "down" again.  I can still hear it running when I use the switch, so I know it's not wiring.  Reservoir is full to about 1/2 inch from the top.  But it sounds like no load on the motor/hydraulic pump in "down".  When I pull the hydraulic line nothing is pumping through it (down only).  Anyone have a link to a Service manual, bleed procedure, wiring diagram, anything?  I see 4 solenoids and a hydraulic pump and reservoir, and I know it's at least capable of working right...

They are self bleeding, just run it up and down 3-4 times. Make sure there is ATF fluid in the reservoir. If it isn't working check your ground and power wire. Run the 12v directly to battery if possible. You can unscrew the solenoids and check them. They shouldn't be over tightened.

Worked for a day and quit again.  Pump makes noise both directions.  "Up" pumps fluid, down does not.  Removed and checked all 4 solenoids.  The two closest to the pump has fluid shooting out when the solenoids are off.  Solenoids furtherst away do not.  Even pulling the lines off right at the pump - no fluid coming out of line to push nozzle "down", fluid only coming out the side of the pump to push the nozzle "up".

Fixed - bad/loose contact terminal at the switch.
