I figure the right side...put engine in this weekend and now just need some more bolts for exhaust and manifold should be ready to fire up next weekend.

You can put it anywhere you like as long as you can spin the pulley. Some guy's run them off the drive shaft, some turn them around and couple the to them front crank snout. Wherever it fits best for you.

I can tell you this. you will find it will work better on the left side of the motor. You can squeeze it closer to the bock because there is no fuel pump boss... The shorter the belt, the more reliable the system.

Ding, ding, ding, we have a winner ;D I'm a firm believer in running as short a belt as possible.

I think it's much more common to put them on the left side, but when I was doing mine I ran into plumbing issues so I abandoned that and mounted it over the fuel pump. I used the same belt as when I had it on the left. Point is make it easy on yourself and put it where it fits best. And absolutely try to keep the belt as short as possible.

Sweeeet!!!! thanks guys, thats what i was thinking. the brackets i have look as if you can configure them anyway you want. Since i have mechanical fuel pump then right side it is.
