So I have these rewarder headers for my 455 olds, I'm now running snails will this give me better gas mileage by putting them on or just noisier I had them rechromed about 3 years ago they look badass all brand new what do u guys think. Or should I just wait till winter when I pull the motor to do some work on it.

I did not realize fuel economy and jet boats went hand and hand. Put the headers on and make some noise.
-
I will get some block off plates next week and put them on now one more Q when I buy the gaskets should I get the round one that fit the headers or stick with the square ones that fit the heads. Thank for input guys.

Aint nobody got time for mpg O0

So this what I'm going to do first I'm going to the rewarder shop in Ventura ca any body need and parts then get the headers baffles pulled out. I will have some block off plates made for the transum the come back to vegas and put them on.

This guy has the transom plates and you can probably get them on the cheap. Same that I have, excellent quality.

Thanks for info just called 60 dollars shipping included.
-
So my Q is when I put these headers on what keeps the water from sucking into the exhaust valves then down into the oil so I get a milk shake I'm confused.
-
I was just reading the rewarder info they said its called water reversion/ingestion how do I stop this from happening.
-
Never let off the throttle
Edit:
It has to do with the cam, if your cam specs are pretty close to stock you shouldn't have a problem but the man to ask would be glenn or "gt jets" here on the board
Edit: and he beat me before I posted my first edit
