So there I was minding my own business doin some sanding and saw a small patch of what looked like black fiberglass. So I get out the screwdriver and do some poking and it happens

And now this is where I'm at. Goin out with the wife and baby tonight for the first time since the baby was born so I'm done with it. Everything's sanded and glass tomorrow.

Better to find with a screwdriver, while the boat is flipped, and you're already doing glass than
out in the middle of the lake.

Well ran into some issues with the last patch. Morning dew f'd up the back spot so I carved till it stopped coming up and now. Just waiting on good weather

Second patch almost done. Laid out 8 layers of glass last night, got some bubbles in the last layer so gouged em out, now getting ready to sand and apply a filler coat of resin with the 404 hd filler and then it's paint

Some sanding tomorrow after work and then I'll start masking for Saturday morning prime. And depending how that goes maybe Sunday afternoon paint.

Picked up some pieces to the puzzle throughout the week and didn't break into the triple digits

I use it when I'm sanding. Keeps the sh!t from guming up the sand paper and blows it away from me. Keeps the itchy down and I stay somewhat clean. And I'll turn it on low after I'm done with the glass work to keep sh!t from falling on it from the tree.

Well got it all sanded and shaped ready for paint..... then I saw something. So out comes the dreaded screwdriver test and bam it happened again. Guess I got a little carried away when shaping the strake and got it thin. Here comes another 4-6 small strips of glass. The hole is maybe a 1/16 in diameter but the thin area is about 3/16 overall. Oh how I love boats

All that hard work pays off while @ the river........looks good

Well fellers my nightmare is over. As of 7:50pm today I'm done shaping, fixing holes and laying glass. time to put my 3 boxes of fiberglass stuff on the shelf. Primer sprayes at 8am on saturday

Looking good bud. Make sure you skuff up the area your going to spray with 400 to 600 or the primer won't stick. Spraying primer is really easy though bud. Good luck.
