I often get asked how to post pictures on this site and I finally decided to write a clear tutorial on how to do it. There are several different ways and all are pretty simple.
If you already have your images hosted, you can just put them in image tags. If you click on the icon that looks like this: (https://forum.socaljetboats.com/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.socaljetboats.com%2FThemes%2FSullenMadness111%2Fimages%2Fbbc%2Fimg.gif&hash=357e316b66ee07199a6470a19a0ff44667e7a71f) it will insert the image tags. Just put your image URL between the tags like this:
[img]http://www.domain.com/directory/image.jpg[/img]
Also, You can attach images to your posts.
First Click on Additional Options:

Then Browse:

Browse to the image that is on your computer and click Open:

You can click "(more attachments)" to attach up to 6 attachments

I have attached 6 images to late show you the different ways to display your images.

At this point, you can just write your text in your post and post it and the images will show up as thumb nail images at the bottom of your post or you can choose more options to link your images as inline images.
To put your images inline of your text within your post, there is a drop down menu next to the "Browse" button with different options.

Select the option you would like. Below, I have labled each inline option to show you how they look like.

When you select the image, it will insert the code for the option you selected into your post. The number in the code refers to the attachment number.

Thank's Brad, I want to post some pics of the boat I bought so I can get some feedback from you guys on what it is I have. 1974 Wriedt, maybe someone can tell me something about it , it doesn't look like any pictures of that make that I've seen so far..thank's.......gary

I have been trying to post pic on my file but keep getting an error that my pic is to big.. How can I resize my pic so I can post them :banghead: :mad:

you can use MSpaint to resize the image.
open up the picture in MSpaint then press ctrl+w and size it the percentage down you want (ex 50%)

thats what i have to do to all my pics off my digital camera, i usuaully havt to " stretch/skew" mine to about 25% to get a viewable size. my computer won't upload them if it's too big

I think that tom said it once, but it would be better said here...photobucket is a free image hosting website that is so easy to use that a caveman could do it...just upload your pics over there and then there is some caddywhompus links below each picture...one of the caddywhompus/hyperlinks is for forums...when you click on that caddywhompus it automatically copies...then you come over to scjb and on your post click paste...I used to do the ms paint deal and I will not ever do it again
