What is the scoop on a 1985 Tahiti 18'
Are these good boats ? I'm looking at one that has a 455 olds
Berkeley jet decent interior and the gel is redone 2 seasons ago
Starts literally soon as it cranks over and sounds good

I had a kona with a 455. I would ask him if they have opened up the oil passages cause the olds motors are notorious for burning up bearings do to lack of oil. I did that to my 455 and put a 12qt pan on it and it ran good. There not a haul ass motor just cruisers unless you spend the coin and know the right builder

Question to all of you.
Does it not seem odd that there is a 1985 boat for sale with an Oldsmobile 455?
Anyone?

That put me on slight alarm... I thought that motor wasn't made after 79? Or somewhere in there ?
It passed the knock test with the back of a screwdriver I had
