If you had a chevy you'd be out in front and not worried about spray from the other boats in front of you

If if were a chevy you probably would have had issues due to the dist being wet, that's probably a guarantee.

But, more important, why does your boat have that much water in the belly of it? I mean for it to get up on the flywheel and be splashed around like that you must have had like 3" of water in it...is that normal? I thought you just re-did all the seals around the pump, what gives?

Or do they just get that wet inside during races?

I spun out and a ton of water came over the back...i had water up to the bottom of my rail kit.

Good point Brad.
Besides always protecting the dizzy from moisture regardless of where its at, I'd be more concerned about ingesting water in the front of that apartment complex you have mounted on top of the carb.
That scoop is not my cup of tea anyways, and you keep it forward?

Omar, Brad has to have the scoop facing forward.
The only time he takes on water, its coming from the back (which is actually in front at the time). ;)

ok, ill let ya have that one  ;)

actually, thats the last time you will probably see that scoop on the boat during a race event. i am working on some ideas for a rear facing scoop...it will be a one off original deal.
