So I got my new motor in and everything should be ready to go but still need to break in the motor and do a test run. Anyone have time to help out tomorrow? I have never timed or broke in a motor before.

Where are you located?

Those headers look dead sexy
Are you running a flat tappet or a roller cam?
-
Corona. Not sure on the cam the guy I got the motor from said I need to break it in. So I'm guess it's a flat tappet.

It is ok to break in the motor on the hose? Not sure when I'm gonna get time to take it out before the first river trip.

If you do, disconnect the pump

Yes its ok to run the motor on the hose. Did your engine guy give you a break in procedure for that cam

Dude, get help from someone who really knows. So many things can go wrong so fast. If you waste a cam, all those metal shavings get circulated into everything and the whole motor needs to come apart.
