Figure I would try to start a carnage thread. I’m sure we all have been there, like my rods decided recently that they need a little more sun light so they installed a window in my oil pan

They where Oliver rods, rod bolts let go, they are really old, we ran the hell out of it for 2 years in the yellow boat and I don’t how old they where before that, the engine was as one of 3 out of a 47 Fountain. We where not surprised when it let go. Might have to go to a 632 now

It’s not a boat, but my A/C compressor on my truck felt the same way, 2015 Silverado.

Some kind of aluminum rod, maybe a Carrillo or Brooks or something, I’m not sure
