My ultimate goal would be to set my pump back far enough that the access hole is out side of the boat. As of right now my pump is mounted so far forward inside of the hull that the only thing sticking out of the back of the hull is just the nozzle. I'm assuming I would have to remove my pump intake and glass in that entire hole and then re cut a new one further back? If I set the pump back as far as I want it will be about a foot further back that it is right now. How do I go about glassing in a hole that big? Also, Should I move the pump back that far or should I just move it far enough back to get a transome housing on?

Neat looking boat and interesting set up. You?ll need to look up resetting the intake. There?s a good guide online that gives you a decent step by step

IMO I would take it to a fiberglass guy that knows how to repair and set new intakes.some will even set up your motor mounts so you driveline angle from the pump to the engine is spot on. It would save you all the headache and itchiness that will undoubtedly follow this kind of work. Depending on where your located though.
