congrats steve, i guess this would explain why arizona was a bit cold today, you know with hell freezing over and all   way to go, i am actually happier for you than i was when i put mine in the water for the first time!!   way to go buddy

Now i had to go work on it today to see why i was having engine troubles at the lower rpm's.......

 

Here is what i found out. I did a compression test and came up with these #'s.

#1- 170  #2- 170

#3- 160  #4- 175

#5- 165  #6- 155

#7- 155  #8- 150

 

The plugs. Now these plugs should have been thrown out and new ones put in , but i was being cheap



And while i was doing the comp test, i think i might have found my problem.... My reg was set @ 9 1/2-10 psi... whoops i thought i set it at 7psi i guess that might explain the miss at lower rpms and explains why it ran sooooo welll after 3k i was probably just flooding it with too much fuel pressure???.



Gonna get some new plugs, re adjust the reg and take her back out and see what she does now
