It was her first time at a rough water swim and a running beach entry 

She did OK, she got into a spot where she just stopped moving forward for about 20 seconds even though she was swimming pretty hard    Once she got going again the pack was gone, she finished but thinks she should have done better 

I try to keep from needing the hangover remedies

I have never heard of a rough water swim...I will have to Google that...Is it similar to a triathelon?

This was the 79th LaJolla rough water swim.  My daughter swam in the 11yr old girls event. 

They have everything from under 8 - 12yr old "Junior" 250 yard event, a 1 mile Amateur/Masters and a 3 mile "Gatermen" event.

Here's a ass kicker. 151 and yeger. I call it a Gorilla Fart. All I can say is watch out there is no tellin were you will wake up after a night of those. 14 is my record (I think) and I dont want to relive those two days.
