i'm going to install a stereo deck in my boat and i'm not a stereo guy. so any advice on how to wire it up would be appriciated. It did have stereo at one point becuase there's a engine noise reducer in the boat. just want to make sure i install correctly.

If you dont have a hole in your dash...just run a ipod/sat unit into an amp.  If you would like to get the best controll over how the music is played/sounds then a head unit or a preamp then amp.
