I'd rather let it drain for a day than run my pump outa water.

I think next time I change mine I'll go to Elsinore in the morning for.some wakeboarding then change on warm motor when I get home.

We Take the boat out in the AM and them come home and change the oil we have a pump that pumps all the oil out in 10 min or so

funny you say that cuz it went in the bilge, when we built the motor (this is the 1st oil change) i wasnt sure it would fit, so i put it on the front of the pan... any way long story short, i didnt want to pull the motor to change the oil and move the hose...the hose is moved now so it  will be easy from now on.

did you start it up and get it warm before you drained?

How large is that hose Ralph?  The reflection in the puddle of oil is cool!

I like using a large AN adapter in the pan (-10),, then cap it.  When it's time to change the oil, pull the cap and screw on a chunk of hose that is already run through the drain hole.  If you are careful, you won't spill much oil, it will drain faster than the little drain lines, and don't have a hose laying in the bilge all the time.
