Dont really know the best way to go about chipping clearcoat on the deck of my boat  just want to somewhat repair it until im ready to repaint in a few years.. any advice.. thanks

Might wanna try and avoid razor blades because thats just going to gouge into the paint/glass. Try a blower if u have a air compressor and that usually will take off any clear thats just going to flake away.. Are you wanting to just get rid of the flaking clear or actually paint it? And ya try and post a couple pics when u get a chance

also I would avoid getting acetone anywhere near clearcoat. wipe it with grease and wax remover.

I dont really know yet  the plan is to repaint it in a couple of years so i prefer to just get rid of the clear coat or some fast cheap way just to hold me over till i get around to having it painted.. what grit sanpaper wouldbyou guys recommend for feathering it in

mine was like that i sanded it start with like 400gritt then go 600 then 800 then 1000 then 1500 then 2000 some may say you dont need that many but its just what i did now im going to get a high speed polisher and see what kinda magic i can work with it

Acetone is ok to try.. Even lacquer thinner try in a small spot first.. Not going to hurt gel.Don't let it sit there.. even fiberglass paint remover won't touch gel.. If it does it's not gel. I would sand it out a try buffing first tho.
