I picked up this nozzle from NastyNate. Dont know much about it. I just assumed it was a standard nozzle setup, but after another look at it, its actually a diverter. It has the rudder provision like the berkeley 'R' nozzle and no reverse bucket.


So anyone have a picture on how these set up? There looks like a spot to attach a cable to control the up/down of the diverter....but what kind of cable hold does it use? Any googling renders jet ski nozzles  What about the tiller (stearing) arm? Maybe just use a standard berk one?

I did a little researching  and josh at JBP made a comment about a diverter made by supersjet in a thread on pb . Seems like it would be worth a call.

I found a few pics of it assembled....This looks like a little bit of a redneck way to go about it...but it looks like I could fab something up to make it work.

my only concern is that theres no reverse bucket.....this is going on a river/lake recreational boat....this would be ideal if I was doin a race setup.

I have a complete berk R nozzle with the ramhorn bucket, but I wouldnt have the diverter option.

so now its a debate.....Reverse vs Roost lol

No my cable bound up on the reverse bucket and couldn't free it up luckily I found out at camp before launching. Long bolt to hold the bucket open and off I went. Needless to say IMO at a crowded lake reverse is needed especially at the docks/ramp and when towing somebody on a water toy. Luckly i had my stock nozzle in my boat tool bag So a quick nozzle change that night at camp and off I went in the morning. Made things so much easier. And surprisingly operating the bucket off a floor mount pd control was so much easier, almost like driving a stick shift lol.

It may be nice to have, but definitely not "NEEDED"
But I boat mostly on the river, current helps me

This things missing a bunch of pieces, including the Pins. The angle on the diverter isnt very good either so I wouldnt get much roost out of it unless I wedge it up a ton.

So I will probably go with the Berk R setup.

Well in the future I'm sure you could have someone with "madskilz" fab up a ram horn bucket or something similar to the Hamilton/seadoo bucket with longer mounts and use longer dowels on the hinge point and use the nozzle on the race boat or this one.
