Anyone got any ideas to mount the alternator? The one im using is a new/reman 3 wire alt. I dont have the sliding bracket that was originaly with the motor plates  :banghead: The pivot tab on the alt does NOT reach the hole on in the engine plate. This is where I need it to go

Dont know if this will help or not , but its how i did mine. Tom will hook you up with the adjuster if needed.

Boats looking great bro ;)

Just My .02, but I think you need to go with the "Sanger Stripe" scheme in whatever color. We already know it's gonna be a runner. Would be cool with the underlying flake Terry has on his tho too!

Will be very similar to the original pattern. Just a color change.

After chasing down some gremlins in the electrical, found where someone had spliced into the ground going to the dash in two different places and also ran a extra wire in half the harness that goes no where  :screwy:

Spent the day replacing the ground from Dash to Engine, running a new power wire for the Hydraulic Diverter and replacing the 30 year old wire sheeting.

Will get the dash wired tomorrow  :)

Any updates?

Just little stuff here and there

Interior has been redone using the original as a template. Need to take it down to get foamed and covered.
Rewired the whole boat and engine harness.
Installed all the cables and helm (Need a new steering wheel).
Been getting a lot of odds and ends finished that had been put off like Cable Seals, Steering connectors, Alternator mount

I do have an issue with steering I was meaning to talk to you or Tom about but its getting there!

Way to go Jeremy    Good feeling huh

I was excited when it started right up. Most of all I was relieved. The engine was pulled from a running boat and was stored for a while before I bought it so for it to start right up, I couldnt be happier. Its also a great relief that the pieces that were added or that just sat for a while all work... Dist, Ignition, Coil, fuel pump, guages, sending units, carbs, etc.

There was no reason to buy the other pieces or do any other work until I knew that the engine and all of those items were good to go!

Now I need to finish the wiring, need the fuel lines to the carb, make a alum panel for the ignition and time it.
