Hi everyone. Boat is almost done. I am replacing all of the old vent hose. Then I can throw the seats back in. Seems like the replacement hose is super flimsy and expensive. CP has it for $.99 a foot, which is the cheapest. My local shop wants $1.99 a foot. Anyways, I was looking for a cheaper and better product. I ended up buying RV sewer hose. It is pretty sturdy stuff. It fits the breather collar perfectly and was $8 for 20 ft. It is all still in the box, I can take it back. I just wanted some opinions and suggestions before I put it in. I'd run the sewer hose.  It's just blowing fresh air to ventilate the bilge.  I agree on using proper materials, and if this was for fuel or
oil, I would definitely say use the best hose you can afford.  This application, I don't see what you have to lose.

I open the engine hatch prior to starting the motor.....

gas fumes settle on the bottom, hence why the blower hose goes to the bottom of the bilge...

Hose non existent....
