AMA Dist. 37 Grand Prix  (in other words, still running old shit hard)

Feb. 1
Round 1 Taft, CA   .  .  .   Real fast kid on an 80 takes me out 1 mile into a 25 mile race.  I eat dirt and the bike is broke.  Kid never looked back.
Mar. 8
Round 2, Glen Helen       The weekend of all the rain and I'm sick.  Go Pro footage on Youtube makes me glad I stayed home.

In the time since then I have revalved my forks and mounted a new front tire.  I have had replaced the old clutch with new trick plates so this antique had the low effort of a modern bike.  Other little stuff too.
And now it won't start.  Don't even want to pop.  I'm too old to push this thing down the street and my foot is black and blue from kicking it.  I have two holes in the bottom of a pretty new pair of boots.

Long story short (ish)   finally found a bunch of water in the gas.  Like 4 oz in about a half a gallon of premix.   I cannot figure out why as I mixed the last 3 tanks of gas myself from a brand new sealed can of VP.  The bike ran fine in Taft.  I drained the tank a week after coming back.  I bought the 5gal can right before the race.  I just can't figure it out.

Buuuut .  .  .    I'M GOING RACING !!!     And 29 Palms is my favorite track, tons of sandwash and wide sweeping turns.  Feet up and sideways   Yeah I am kind of excited.   8)

Not so live, but we were also at Elsinore yesterday. We left around 12 though, it wasn't too bad. A little cold and choppy but we had some sun.
